Good Kids are a knockabout double act made from a sprinkle of Tom Dowling and a heaped teaspoon of Kieran Ahern.
They have made each other laugh since the playground at primary school “and it’s probably gone downhill from there.”
“A really fab little sketch act.” Joe Lycett
They style themselves very firmly as ‘a classic double act, like
Morecambe and Wise, Vic and Bob, Torvill & Dean, and Dave &
Busters.’
★★★★★ Fringe Guru ★★★★ The Metropolist
With wide ranging influences from Flight Of The Concords to Chris Tarrant to Kieran’s nan audiences can expect a wild array of characters, sketches and songs smothered in loudness, daftness and idiocy.
2020 Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year Award Finalists
Despite being comparatively new to the game (their only other gainful employment involves ‘drifting in and out of paper-rounds.’) Good Kids have found themselves some serious fans including Joe Lycett and
Barbara Nice.
Low points included warming up for a community choir in Bournville with Adrian Chiles in attendance. As the lads happily admit; ‘There was no encore.’ but there have been high points too, such as being joined on
stage by Johnny Vegas at a Just The Tonic gig in their hometown of Birmingham, Neil Diamond was invoked and stage diving involved.
