Doors open at 7.30pm if you want to get a few in first. \nMajorca’s Ignacio Lopez lives in Cardiff and makes a living ‘taking the piss out of British people directly to their faces“. His online videos have gained over 20 million views and The Scotsman newspaper’s comedy critic says he’s “Hilarious” so we’ll let him off. \n“Consummate comic” (The Stage) Markus Birdman’s dad is a real life vicar and his uncle is a bishop. Neither of these facts have any bearing on his comedy whatsoever but we have been booking him for years and he smashes it every single time. “Made me laugh so hard it hurt” BBC \nDescribed as ‘charming and moderately obscene” by her agent and having “dry\, feminist wit’ by the Evening Standard Lily Phillips (★★★★ Scotsman) certainly sounds like a comedic conundrum so we thought we’d better get her in and have a look. \nAnd who better to hold it all together than the deliciously manic Phil Ellis? Phil’s hysterically funny and downright wrong kid’s show – Funz And Gamez was so funny the Edinburgh Fringe people had to create a prize for it. He’s also written and performed in three of his own Radio 4 series alongside Johnny Vegas\, Lee Mack and the late\, great Sean Lock. \n\nChorlton Comedy Club is booked\, produced and promoted by Comedy In A Van.
