Darwen Comedy Club

Darwen Comedy Club

Steve Harris, Peter Brush, Mike Cox, MC Roger Monkhouse. Scroll down for comedian’s details.

Acts subject to change. 18+ Proper sweary swearing. Fully seated. We want everyone to have a great night so please pop your mobile on silent and don’t chat when the show is on. Thanks!

Steve Harris has been a stand up comedian for over twenty years and followed in the footsteps of Peter Kay, John Bishop and Alan Carr by winning the North West Comedian of the Year Award . The only difference being it was Steve’s fifth ever gig!

Whatever your age or wherever you’re from Steve has something that will leave you breathless with laughter. A master of the obvious and a Ninja of the not so obvious, you’ll be hit so hard by a punch line you won’t know where it’s come from. A well-crafted act and the confidence to work outside of it, is what sets Steve aside from the workaday comedian. He also does a particularly impressive frozen emu impression.

I couldn’t lift my hands to wipe the tears of laughter from my face” Chortle “Quite simply, fantastically funny” BBC

Leeds based Peter Brush (★★★★★ ”Compellingly hilarious.. …achingly funny” Chortle) is a quirky and unique performer and the antithesis to loud, brash comedians. A gifted writer he supported comedy godfather Alexei Sayle on his 2020 tour.

Mike Cox (“Delicious cynicism and razor sharp wit.” Romesh Ranganathan) takes the middle spot and compere for the evening is seasoned pro and Manchester Comedy Store regular Roger Monkhouse  who exerts a masterful control over any audience. Roger is widely regarded as a master of observational comedy with routines that are universally and unfailingly hysterical.

Unfailingly entertaining – a gifted natural” Chortle
