Noel James taught English as a second language (He’s from Swansea!) until deciding to give stand up comedy a go in the Nineties. Since then, Noel has appeared at comedy clubs up and down this fair isle and as far away as Berlin and South Africa. Noel has popped up regularly on the telly, as both writer and performer and even picked up a Rose of Montreaux nomination on the way. Although best known for deft one-liners, Noel isn’t afraid to pull a few props out or even whip out his guitar. A skilled, clever and bona fide free spirit who commits completely to the crowd.
“A combination of Milton Jones and Eddie Izzard” Shrewsbury Star “The funniest joke I’ve ever heard” The Guardian
Now touring in his own right, Yorkshireman Scott Bennett owes a certain amount of his success to Covid! As lockdown decimated the UK entertainment industry Scott refused to cave in and Stand Up From The Shed was born. Every week, Scott wrote and performed a topical comedy show that was live streamed from (you guessed it) his garden shed! This was quickly picked up by BBC News, Sky News and Five Live, further increasing Scott’s fanbase.
The return to normality has been even better for Scott. He made his debut appearance on BBC’s Live At The Apollo, numerous appearances on Radio 4, toured with John Bishop and won the coveted Best UK Stand Up 2021 award! 2022 saw Scott’s latest tour show ‘Great Scott’ take to the roads of the United Kingdom.
“A very funny man” Rob Brydon ★★★★ Chortle ★★★★ TV Bomb
Freddy Quinne is an award-winning comedian from Preston, Lancashire. He absolutely hates writing about himself in the third person but needs to fill out this part of his website because sometimes promoters will use these bios and copy and paste them into their own comedy events when he is on. Including us. We are going to add that he is half-Manx, the man behind the Pigoted podcast and a very safe pair of compering hands.
Cheshire’s Natalie Husdan completes the bill
