Jojo Sutherland has the sort of back story that guarantees comedy gold. Daughter of a best selling author, Jojo was raised in a castle until the money ran out and the entire family had to move into a caravan! Two marriages and four children later, Jojo is a regular on Scottish TV and radio.
Her “healthy neglect” approach to parenting forms the backbone to her material interspersed with everyday grievances and motherly advice. This charismatic mum goes to great lengths to glean material, the most extreme example being her starring role in Channel 4’s award winning series ” Wife Swap”
“Stand-up comedy at it’s best” ★★★★★ SG Fringe “You will laugh.. a LOT” ★★★★ The Scotsman
As daft as it is deft, Tom Taylor’s highly individual musical comedy is a surefire winner in front of any crowd.
During the dark days of lock down, Tom collaborated with David Walliams, Mel Giedroyc, Graham Norton, Clare Balding and even Cliff Richard to create The Isolation Song Contest. Not only did this earn a very tidy sum for some very good causes but won Tom a Chortle Award into the bargain!
When not performing stand up Tom writes and performs one man murder mystery plays.
“Wave after wave of funny” The Scotsman “Gloriously silly” The Stage “Excellent … beautifully daft” Sunday Times
“An absolute delight” The Skinny “So funny at one point I thought my lungs were going to burst” Broadway Baby
A regular on BBC One’s Live At The Apollo, Tez Ilyas is also known for Tez Ilyas’ Christmas (Sky Arts), Man Like Mobeen (BBC Three) and has also appeared on everything from The One Show to The News Quiz and, of course, his very own The Tez O’Clock Show on Channel 4. A phenomenally funny comedian who refuses to shy away from trickier subjects yet never forgets that the laughs need to come thick and fast.
