Glossop Comedy Club
Glossop Comedy Club returns in June with Gary Little (‘Brilliantly observed’ Herald), Tony Law (‘Dangerously funny’ Guardian ‘The King’ Telegraph) Aaron Wood (‘Brilliant’ Tim Vine) and MC Sam See (★★★★ Broadway Baby ★★★★ Fest Mag) all at the Crystal Ballroom, Glossop. Scroll down for comedians’ details.
Acts subject to change. Fully seated. 18+ Proper sweary, swearing. We want everyone to have a great night so please pop your phone on silent and don’t chat whilst the show is in progress. Thanks! Sorry, but we can only reallocate or refund if the show is cancelled.
Nothing is off topic for Gary Little, whether it’s something as mundane as dog walking etiquette, as comically ambitious as his own depression or even the occasions he has spent pleasuring Her Majesty (His 2009 show ‘He’s Only Jail Gay’ was a hit at the 2009 Edinburgh Fringe) you can rest assured he will make it devastatingly funny.
‘Tears were streaming down my face’ ★★★★★ Mumbles Comedy ‘Brilliantly observed’ Herald
Canadian surrealist and master story-teller Tony Law is a three-time Chortle Award winner, Amused Moose Best Show winner and Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee. His extensive TV and radio credits include: Have I Got News For You, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Celebrity Mastermind, Celebrity Squares, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Charlie Brooker’s Weekly Wipe, Loose Ends and Infinite Monkey Cage.
“Takes post-modern stand-up to a dangerously funny new level” ★★★★ Guardian
‘The King of post-modern nonsense” Telegraph
MC Sam See is an insuppressible energy bomb from Singapore who’s performances are positively effervescent! This sparkling fountain of funny has headlined in nearly thirty different countries whilst gaining millions of views online. He has crowd-surfed three times.
See was part of Singaporean TV’s first-ever comedy panel show, OK Chope! which went swimmingly well until one of the panel made fun of the Malaysian Prime Minster and the show was axed. Not one to stay down for long, Sam dusted himself off, got back on the circuit and soon found himself supporting Australian comedian Jim Jefferies on his Asian tour as well as appearing on The Jim Jefferies Show.
‘Quick-witted, warm and winning’ Chortle ★★★★ Broadway Baby ★★★★ Fest Mag
Aaron Wood (‘Absolutely brilliant‘ Tim Vine) takes the middle spot. The comedians you see at Glossop Comedy Club are booked by Comedy In A Van
