Dublin stand up Kevin Gildea started off in a sketch troupe with a certain Ardal O’ Hanlon! A regular on the international circuit for many a year he proudly boasts to have appeared everywhere ‘from Singapore to Sligo’ as well as all the major comedy festivals. A regular on Ireland’s RTE his many telly appearances span everything from interviewing everyone from Eddie Izzard to Kermit The Frog. He also popped up in Father Ted as Father Cave. Stand up comedy remains Kevin’s first love though and we can’t wait to see him unleashed on the unsuspecting folk of Chorlton.
“Very, very funny.’ Tommy Tiernan ‘Comedy on another level.’ Irish Times “Explosively funny’. Sunday Times
Harry Stachini used to teach kids. Naughty kids. As in really, really naughty kids and, if you can make a success of that how difficult is a career as a stand up comedian? This natural comic, still of comparatively few summers, allows his natural warmth to carry hilarious tales and intricately spun stories with a skill usually only present in much more experienced comics.
“Well observed characterisations and anecdotes” The Skinny “Audience in stitches with gags” Bedfordshire News
Your evening comes complete with musical comedian Alex Camp and MC Mandy McCarthy, Hailing from the North, Mandy’s comedy is a mixture of gags, stories of family life the joys of getting older.
