SUMMARY:Octagon Comedy Club\, Bolton
DESCRIPTION:Paul Thorne\, Peter Brush\, Becky Umbers and MC Chris Brooker at Octagon Comedy Club\, Bolton Please scroll down for comedians’ details.\n\nActs subject to change. Proper swearing. 18+ Fully seated. We want everyone to have a great night so pop your mobile on silent and please don’t talk when the show is on. Sorry\, but we can only refund or reallocate in event of the show being cancelled. Thanks!\n \nPaul Thorne is a highly respected comedian and regular member of The Comedy Store’s Cutting Edge team; performing material based on the week’s news in this prestigious topical show.Paul’s topical gags; spontaneous wit\, and surreal songs have taken him to Australia\, China\,\, Dubai\, Hong Kong\, Japan\, Singapore and Thailand as well as quite a few places on the way. . \n“A waspish\, sweary pleasure” Telegraph “A must-see comedian” The Guardian \nAudiences can be forgiven for underestimating Peter Brush when he takes to the stage. If ballsy bravado is your thing then Brush certainly isn’t your man. Peter’s slight frame\, spectacles and scruffy hair add nothing to the illusion that we’re in for some first class entertainment. Leeds based Peter is a quirky and unique performer and the antithesis to loud\, brash comedians. A gifted writer\, he supported comedy OG Alexei Sayle on his 2020 tour. \n”Compellingly hilarious.. …achingly funny” ★★★★★ Chortle \nNew Zealand’s Becky Umbers is a small girl looking to get big laughs. With a unique take on life and the voice to match\, Becky’s stand-up is a mix of storytelling and quirky observations. \nMC Chris Brooker’s infectious energy and enthusiasm sweeps through a room like an irresistible force. Chris’ combination of hilarious\, original material and inspired improvisation means that you will never see the same routine twice. Immensely likeable\, there’s no doubting his ability to win over any crowd and drag them along for the ride. \n“On the spot humour”  BBC  “Best act of the night…  ..plenty of laughs.’ Manchester Evening News \n Octagon Comedy Club\, Bolton is booked by Comedy In A Van \nPaul Thorne\, Peter Brush\, Becky Umbers and MC Chris Brooker at Octagon Comedy Club\, Bolton Friday 1 March 2024 (C) Comedy In A Van
