Thanks! \nChris Washington made his Edinburgh Fringe debut in 2017 with his self-produced show\, ‘Dream Big (Within Reason)’ after taking all his annual leave in his full-time job as a postman. The gamble paid off with Chris receiving a nomination for Best Newcomer despite having no management\, promoter or PR. A feel-good underdog story which he describes as ‘getting five numbers and the bonus ball on the comedy lottery’.  Jokes are now the only things Chris has to deliver and his sack is positively bulging with them.  Telly appearances include Live from the BBC\, Mock the Week and Richard Osman’s House of Games. \n★★★★★ One4Review ★★★★★ Three Weeks ★★★★ Times ★★★★ Chortle \nThe Halls of Ridiculous are a multi award winning duo who merge quick fire improvised comedy with high energy character based sketches meaning no two shows are ever the same! 2024 has already seen them perform around the globe on luxurious cruise ships as well as support Russell Kane and Clinton Baptiste on their UK tours. \n“Best night of my life.” ★★★★★ EdFringe Review “Brilliant characters… …superb improv” Hull Comedy Festival \nIf you’re not in the market to have your day brightened\, a smile firmly planted on your face\, or an additional spring in your step then you might want to give Catherine Young a miss! This Middlesbrough lass explodes onto the stage with enough energy to boil your kettle and then some. Lunges\, homespun philosophies and bare faced cheek all come served with an enormous sense of fun and contagious laughter. His material is bold and provocative yet delivered in a charming manner – which has brought him much praise and attention. \n‘Surreal genius’ The Stage ‘Seriously funny’ ★★★★ Entertainment now \nAudiences can be forgiven for underestimating Peter Brush when he takes to the stage. SUMMARY:Off The Rails Comedy Club\, Saddleworth May 2026 4pm
DESCRIPTION:We are 25 years old this month and are celebrating with Paul Smith (‘Like a pop star’s homecoming‘ The Guardian)\, Mark Steel (‘Steel’s rapier wit cuts to the chase‘ The Observer  ‘Excellent stand up‘  The Times)\, Seeta Wrightson (‘Taking the comedy circuit by storm‘ Yorkshire Evening Post) and MC Justin Moorhouse (QI\, Coronation Street\, Celebrity Mastermind\, Live At The Apollo etc) at Off The Rails Comedy Club Saddleworth in June 2026 Scroll down for comedians details. \nINVITE YOUR FRIENDS ON FACEBOOK \nActs subject to change. Fully seated. 18+ Proper sweary\, swearing. We want everyone to have a great night so please pop your phone on silent and don’t chat whilst the show is in progress. Thanks! Sorry\, but we can only reallocate or refund if the show is cancelled.\n \nWe gave Paul Smith his first ever paid gig about twenty years ago and he then decided to become MASSIVE! Following sold-out stadium runs and viral success across the globe\, Paul’s trademark crowd work\, razor-sharp observations\, and laugh-out-loud true stories elevate comedy to a new level. This is stand-up at full throttle: fast\, fearless\, and relentlessly funny. \n‘Like a pop star’s homecoming’ The Guardian \nIt may have taken us 25 years but\, we finally got Mark Steel! The Sony and Writers’ Guild Award-winning writer and comedian is best known for his critically acclaimed BBC Radio 4 show Mark Steel’s in Town. Mark has presented the BAFTA-nominated Mark Steel Lectures for BBC Two and is a regular on BBC One’s Have I Got News for You and BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz. He has also written several acclaimed books\, including: Reasons To Be Cheerful and What’s Going On. \n‘He’s a man with a passionate desire to communicate his ideas\, who is also very funny’  The Guardian \n‘Steel’s rapier wit cuts to the chase’ The Observer  ‘Excellent stand up’  The Times  \nEver since Day One we have proudly championed new and emerging talent. For our 25th we have carried that on by booking two of the acts who have impressed us the most on the last couple of years. Bradford’s Seeta Wrightson certainly fits that bill. From humble (AKA very skint) beginnings growing up in Bradford\, Seeta has wandered through life wondering where exactly she fits and has had a hell of an adventure figuring it out. And it is a never-ending stream of ridiculousness that provides the fodder for her comedy. Seeta made her TV debut on the BBC New Comedy Awards back in 2022 and has recenbtly supported Kiri Pritchard-Mclean on tour.  \n‘Taking the comedy circuit by storm‘ Yorkshire Evening Post \nJustin Moorhouse headlined our second ever show and he’s been popping back regularly ever since. If you haven’t seen him here\, then you may well have caught him on tour\, at The Comedy Store\, on QI\, Coronation Street\, Celebrity Mastermind\, Live At The Apollo\, Dave’s One Night Stand or even Phoenix Nights (ask your mum!)\, you’ll know why he is constantly in demand as one of the UK’s funniest performers.
