This was an unusual decision as Jo can neither sing nor play drums. To misquote the Human League\, Jo was working in an Italian Restaurant when she found herself drunkenly entering an open mic competition. Although she hadn’t prepared anything and could hardly stand\, let alone speak\, Jo won the competition and was asked back the following week… \nAlthough best known for her legendary one-woman shows Jo has also won a BAFTA as Graham Norton’s head writer and TV appearances include: Mock The Week\, Have I Got News For You\, Never Mind The Buzzcocks\, Saturday Night Live\, The Comedy Store\, The Comedian’s Comedian\, Dawn French’s Girls Who Do Comedy\, The Stand Up Show and World Stand’s Up. \n“One of the finest” The Observer   “Quite simply\, a damn funny woman” The Scotsman\n★★★★★ One4Review ★★★★★ Scottish Field ★★★★★ Edinburgh Reviews\n \nMiddle act is Craig Alexander and your compere is Comedy Store and Frog & Bucket veteran Mick Ferry! Whether he’s running with a scatterbrained idea\, an audience suggestion or dipping into his extensive mental files of absolute\, top drawer gags and routines\, the end result is a barrage of laughter from a very happy audience and that is what we are all about. \n★★★★★ Mirror “Absolute legend” Jason Manford “As good as it gets” Big Issue \nDidsbury Comedy Club May 2026 is booked\, marketed and produced by Comedy In A Van and held at St Catherine’s Community Centre \nDidsbury Comedy Club\, Manchester Sunday 3 May 2026 with George Zacharopoulos\, Jo Caulfield\, Craig Alexander & Mick Ferry (C) Comedy In A Van \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n

SUMMARY:Didsbury Comedy Club\, Manchester July 2026
DESCRIPTION:Didsbury Comedy Club in July 2026 with two\, full length\, works in progress shows from Have A Word podcast’s Dan Nightingale (‘Genuinely hilarious’ Chortle ★★★★★ Three Weeks) and Brennan Reece (The Stand Up Sketch Show\, Live At The Comedy Store\, Top Gear etc) at Didsbury Comedy Club\, Manchester in July 2026 Scroll down for comedians’ details. \nINVITE YOUR FRIENDS ON FACEBOOK \nThe bar temporarily closes at 7.45pm so we can start on time. Please get here before 7.15pm (doors open at 7pm) so we can get you served and seated in plenty of time. Acts subject to change. Fully seated. 18+ Proper sweary swearing. We want all our guests to have a great night so please respect those around you by turning off your phone and not talking whilst the show is in progress. We can only refund or reallocate if the show is cancelled. Thanks! \nWhat do we mean by ‘Work In Progress’?  These shows aren’t the finished product. The comedians will be fine tuning them before they take them out on tour. You may see them occasionally referring to notes and there may well be the odd gag that doesn’t make the final edit.  The advantage for our customers is you get two shows (roughly 50 to 60 minutes each) for less thatn it would cost you to see one. You also get to hear the brand new gags and routines long before anyone else.  \n\nDan Nightingale – Stands Up (Work In Progress) Another brilliant hour of stand-up from the host of the massive Have A Word Podcast. Getting ready for his Autumn Tour\, Dan combines story telling and observations with his usual high energy mayhem. \n‘Funny as hell’ Leicester Mercury ‘Enthusiastically charming albeit self-deprecating storyteller’ ★★★★★ Three Weeks\n“It is his powers of observation that make him so entertaining. Outrageously funny!  Keeping Up With NZ\n“Exciting and imaginative” Edinburgh Evening News   ‘Genuinely hilarious’ Chortle \nBrennan Reece – Live (Work In Progress) Brennan Reece is a  working class wordsmith\, a stand up\, a storyteller and a self-confessed mummy’s boy.
